Audit Group and Government Audit Program Renewal FAQ

FAQ
  •   When will I be reminded to renew?

The first renewal notice is sent to group contacts 90 days prior to the group renewal date.

  •   How do I update group members?

Enclosed in each renewal packet is a member roster which lists all group members. Review the list, add and remove members, and make changes to continuing members (name, title, and contact information). Submit the updated profiles, new member forms (if applicable), and the Application Dues Calculation form via email, fax, or mail. Changes can also be made throughout the year by contacting Customer Relations at CustomerRelations@theiia.org.

  •   How do I know how much to pay?

Enclosed in each renewal packet is a Dues Summary Calculator to assist in calculating group membership dues. For group dues pricing, visit the Membership page at https://na.theiia.org/membership/Pages/Group-Membership.aspx.

  •   Will I receive the renewal packet in the mail?

Renewal forms are emailed to group contacts 90 days prior to the expiration date, and a renewal packet is mailed 60 days prior to expiration date.

  •   Do I have to mail the packet back to The IIA?
Groups can mail back the completed packet, return electronically to AuditGroups@theiia.org, or fax to +1-407-937-1101.
Payment can be made by credit card, check, or Pcard:
    • To pay by credit card, call Customer Relations at +1-407-937-1111, or fill out the invoice provided and fax payment information to +1-407-937-1129. (Due to PCI Compliance, payments cannot be emailed.)
    • To pay by check, please make check payable to The Institute of Internal Auditors. Remit payment and profile sheets by mailing to: P.O. Box 919460, Orlando, FL 32891-9460 USA.
    • To pay via wire transfer, contact accounting at WirePayments@theiia.org.
  •   Will individual group members be contacted during the renewal process?

Group members will be contacted about the membership if we have not heard back from the contact after the membership has expired. Group members will also be contacted when their group membership has terminated, giving them the opportunity to join as a Professional Member.

  •   How do I pay for the group membership?

Dues payment can be made by credit card, check, or Pcard:

      • To pay by credit card, call Customer Relations at +1-407-937-1111, or fill out the invoice provided and fax payment information to +1-407-937-1129. (Due to PCI Compliance, payments cannot be emailed.)
      • To pay by check, please make check payable to The Institute of Internal Auditors. Remit payment and profile sheets by mailing to: P.O. Box 919460, Orlando, FL 32891-9460 USA.
      • To pay via wire transfer, contact accounting at WirePayments@theiia.org.
  •   How do I obtain an invoice to submit payment?

Most groups use the Dues Summary Calculator to calculate dues and submit payment. If an invoice is needed, please proceed with submitting all paperwork to Customer Relations. Once the completed paperwork is received, Customer Relations will create and send to you an invoice reflecting the appropriate dues amount.

  •   How do I add someone to the group during the membership term?

An individual can be added during a membership term by completing a Member Profile form and submitting it to auditgroups@theiia.org. The membership dues will be pro-rated based on the group’s rate for the months remaining in the membership term.

  •   If someone leaves the group, how do we replace them?

IIA membership belongs to the individual. Therefore, when a person leaves a group, the membership remains in the individual’s name. A company has the ability to add an additional member to the group during their membership term at a pro-rated rate.

  •   If someone leaves the audit group, do we get a refund?

The IIA does not provide refunds for partially used memberships or if an individual decides to resign during their membership term.
