2015 North American Pulse of Internal Audit Released
The 2015 North American Pulse of Internal Audit, released March 8 during the Audit Executive Center chief audit executive (CAE) forum in Las Vegas, urges internal auditors to step up their game in identifying and addressing emerging risks, particularly in the area of cybersecurity.
The Pulse study showed that CAEs consider emerging risks to be one of their greatest challenges, but it also found that only a third of respondents have a high degree of confidence in their ability to identify such concerns. What’s more, the survey showed that more than half the CAEs cite competition over a limited pool of skilled auditors as a reason for skill gaps on their audit teams.
