A stellar speaker’s lineup, which included Uganda Vice President Edward Ssekandi, helped draw strong delegate and media response to the inaugural African Federation of the Institute of Internal Auditors conference. In his address to more than 500 delegates from 25 countries, Ssekandi praised the principles of integrity, objectivity, confidentiality, and competence that audit professionals aspire to achieve.
Those principals will enhance their performance, and reduce corruption, fraud, and unethical behavior, Ssekandi said, adding that the African continent is yearning for people of integrity who can assist their respective governments.
