Chambers Recognized Among Top Central Florida CEOs
In recognition of his organizational leadership, Institute of Internal Auditors President and CEO Richard F. Chambers, CIA, QIAL, CGAP, CCSA, CRMA, was selected by Orlando Business Journal as one of Central Florida’s 2016 CEOs of the Year. Honorees were chosen based on an array of criteria, including the growth and financial success of their organization and leadership in their industry.
“Richard’s commitment to The IIA – its staff, members, and volunteers – is evident to anyone who meets him,” said IIA Global Board Chairman Angela Witzany, CIA, QIAL, CRMA. “Under his leadership, The IIA has grown to serve more than 185,000 members in more than 170 countries and territories. His strategic vision and thoughtful management have been critical to the association’s success.”
Since becoming global CEO in 2009, Chambers has led The IIA in launching a number of important initiatives to benefit members and the internal audit profession, including the Audit Executive Center; Pulse of Internal Audit; Audit Channel; Internal Auditor Online; the Certification in Risk Management Assurance (CRMA); the Qualification in Internal Audit Leadership (QIAL); The IIA Risk Resource Exchange; the American Center for Government Auditing; the Financial Services Audit Center; and the Environmental, Health & Safety Audit Center.
