Christopher Polke Appointed AEC Director
Christopher Polke, CGAP, MPA, was appointed Director of the Audit Executive Center (AEC), effective Feb. 8. In this role, Chris oversees day-to-day operations and strategic direction of the AEC, which provides member chief audit executives (CAEs) with tools and resources focused on their unique and increasingly demanding role.
Polke joined The IIA in 2011 as Manager of Strategic Development in the Chief Audit Executive Services department. He was promoted to Director of Standards and Guidance in 2013. Prior to joining The IIA, Chris was a senior auditor for the City of Orlando, Fla.
“Chris’s enthusiasm and professional experience make him an excellent fit for this position, and I look forward to how his contributions will enable The IIA to exceed the expectations of our CAE members,” said IIA Vice President of Professional Solutions Jim Pelletier, CIA, CGAP. “His previous position as an internal auditor and his role at The IIA in developing thought leadership, standards and guidance, and in program management make him an important asset to our organization. I’m confident that the AEC will thrive under his leadership.”
As Director, Polke sets the AEC’s objectives for enhancing relations, communications, and the overall value proposition for CAEs, including content development, product and service delivery, training, and networking.
