IIA Meets with INTOSAI Officials

In its continued advocacy efforts to create an understanding of internal auditing at the highest levels of government auditing and in the public sector, IIA president and CEO Richard Chambers recently met with officials representing the International Organisation of Supreme Audit Institutions (INTOSAI), an umbrella organisation for government audit organizations. “It provided us an opportunity to build awareness of the Standards throughout the global government auditing community, as well as foster relationships our Institutes have with Auditor Generals in their respective countries,” said Chambers. The IIA also hopes to leverage its relationship with government auditors to advocate for the Certified Government Audit Professional designation more broadly.
