IIA to Offer Delayed Score Exam Option for Three-Part CIA Exam

In conjunction with the release of the English version of the three-part Certified Internal Auditor exam on July 1, The IIA will offer a Delayed Score Exam (DSE) option. For a limited time, CIA candidates may select the DSE option when registering for parts 1, 2, or 3 of the three-part exam.

Candidates who select the DSE option will be contributing to the further enhancement of the CIA exam by participating in the question validation process. Seat time for DSE exam parts will be extended by 30 minutes to allow candidates time to respond to an additional 25 questions. The inclusion of the additional questions will not impact scores in any way, but will serve as a validation point for proposed exam items before they enter the live exam test bank. Due to the additional steps needed for question validation, candidates will not immediately receive their scores, but will instead receive notification of their score and status within 90 days of completion.

The DSE option has a special pricing component that will be extended to a limited number of participants who register by July 31 and sit for an exam part within the new three-part exam structure prior to August 31.
