Internal Audit Student Profile: Beth White, Kennesaw State University
Beth White is pursuing a master’s degree in accounting with an auditing specialization at Kennesaw State University. Her interest in an internal audit career was sparked at the IAEP Exchange when she heard IIA Global Chairman Naohiro Mouri proclaim, “Internal auditors are catalysts of change.” Through a grant from the Internal Audit Foundation, Beth was able to become a graduate assistant in Kennesaw State University's Internal Audit Center and pursue her master's degree. Beth also credits her IAEP program participation as key to making connections and building a strong network of industry professionals. She encourages prospective internal auditors to “be a sponge” by joining their local IIA chapter, networking with members, and finding a mentor to ask questions and learn from.
