Proclaiming May as International Internal Audit Awareness Month
International Internal Audit Awareness Month is almost here, and internal auditors everywhere are stepping up their efforts to celebrate and promote awareness of the profession in their workplace and in the greater business community.
Last year, several IIA chapters received proclamations from local government officials recognizing May as Internal Audit Awareness Month, including Ak-Sar-Ben, Nebraska; Central Virginia; Sacramento, Calif.; and Winnipeg, Canada, among others. This year, the following ambitious chapters have already received proclamations: Hawaii; Charlotte, North Carolina; and Vancouver and Vancouver Island, Canada!
If you haven’t already made plans to celebrate and raise awareness of the profession during May, there’s still time. Download the Building Awareness Toolkit for a variety of ideas, tips, tools, and templates to help you become an advocate for the profession.
Don’t forget to share your story and photos with us at IIA Global Headquarters by emailing PR@theiia.org. And join the conversation on The IIA’s social media channels (LinkedIn, Twitter and Facebook) using #IIAMay.
