Record Number of Attendees
This SOLD OUT event had more than 1,700 internal audit leaders convene in Las Vegas for an opportunity to network, learn, and most importantly, evolve.
This year’s conference kicked off Sunday with a pre-conference session, “New CAE Roundtable: Pathways to Success in Your New Role,” which was tailored to those who have been in the CAE role one year or less. Like the conference, this event was sold out.
With five educational tracks and over 40 sessions, the program focused on leaders’ impact and innovation, with strategies on how to step out of their comfort zone. The conference opened with The IIA’s President and CEO, Richard Chambers, and then included speakers from both public and private sectors, such as Adobe Systems and the Department of Justice. There was a lot to learn and innumerable resources and tactics for the attendees to take away.
In addition, The IIA’s Audit Executive Center hosted a series of learning and networking opportunities with 240 members that included a CAE forum focused on a fraud case study, followed by a session on the 2018 Pulse of Internal Audit Study results. The Center also hosted a members-only reception; lunch with GAM Keynote Speaker Leonard Bailey, Special Counsel, Criminal Division, U.S. Department of Justice; and an exclusive hospitality lounge. Take advantage of this limited time offer, save up to $700 off AEC membership. To redeem, please email email@example.com or call +1-407-937-1223.
New reports and thought leadership debuted at GAM and are available online:
And, as always, there were networking opportunities galore! Whether it was during breaks, lunch, or when walking through the exhibit hall, there was always someone around to talk through challenges or exchange ideas with.
We hope everyone will join us in 2019 for another standing-room-only event!
