​The IIA regulates the global profession of internal audit with guidance for internal auditors in implementing best practices in our ever-changing and growing field. The International Professional Practices Framework® (IPPF®) is the conceptual framework that organizes this authoritative guidance as mandatory guidance or recommended guidance. Conformance with the principles set forth in mandatory guidance is required and essential for the professional practice of internal auditing.

This one-day course introduces participants to the core elements of the IPPF and highlights the various standards, documents, and practices that should be applied to individual internal auditors and internal audit activities. Attendees will also gain a basic understanding of Quality Assurance and Improvement Programs, including identifying standards and practice advisories, as well as common observations and external assessment options.

This course is designed for beginning internal auditors or auditors at all skill levels who need a refresher on the IPPF Standards.
