Andrée Bourgon has over 20 years of experience with large multinational organizations, startups, and as a consultant in financial services with a heavy focus on the insurance industry. Currently, she oversees a portfolio of work that spans all sectors of the insurance industry. Prior to joining Grant Thornton, Bourgon was VP of global strategy at insurance startup Ascot Group, where she oversaw the acquisition of two shell companies and launched a suite of products into the US market. Prior to that, Bourgon was director of global strategy, head of global business solutions, and chief of staff to the CFO at American International Group. With a heavy focus on M&A, she has led or participated in over 40 transactions in the US, UK, Asia, South and Central America largely in the insurance industry but also with significant exposure to the challenges of running an insurtech investment portfolio.

Matt Cassidy has deep experience leading internal audit innovation and technology risk solutions, including IT audit and control automation, for the industry practice. Cassidy specializes in Sarbanes-Oxley readiness and compliance. He has run large global SOX implementations and worked with fortune 500 companies on evaluating and improving the efficiency and effectiveness of their SOX programs. This includes improving the percentage of management's testing that his clients’ external auditors can rely upon. He has worked on improving this reliance with Big 4 firms and many larger regional firms.
