Support the Internal Audit Foundation

Research from the Foundation provides knowledge and tools to shape, advance, and expand the global profession of internal auditing and aid practitioners in their practice.

As a not-for-profit corporation operating independently of The IIA exclusively for research and educational purposes, the Foundation is funded by voluntary contributions from IIA members, Institutes, and chapters, as well as supportive organizations.

The Foundation is pursuing an aggressive research agenda, so we need your support to achieve our goals.

What Your Contributions Support

Research Projects

Your contributions fund our research projects, and enable us to provide downloadable research free to IIA members.

Global Internal Audit Survey

In conjunction with the Common Body of Knowledge project, the Foundation conducts The IIA’s Global Internal Audit Survey — the most comprehensive global study of the internal audit profession — as well as supporting studies affecting the profession globally. These studies are solely funded by contributors to the William G. Bishop III, CIA, Memorial Fund.

Grants and Awards

The Foundation also awards academic and doctoral dissertation grants to support students and encourage ongoing education in internal auditing. Find out more about our award opportunities.

Ways You Can Provide Financial Support

As an internal audit practitioner and member of The IIA, you are firmly committed to yourself and the profession. What better way to further showcase your commitment to the profession than through a donation to teh Foundation?

Your donation can support dozens of studies conducted annually, as well as research grants provided by the Foundation. Or you can donate for further research with the CBOK study through the William G. Bishop III, CIA, Memorial Fund.

Matching Gifts Program

You can often increase the value of your contribution to the Foundation through a corporate matching gifts program. The Foundation is a not-for-profit 501(c)(3) corporation operating exclusively for research and educational purposes. As such, it may be eligible for matching and sometimes doubling grants under many corporate contribution programs. If your company has a matching gifts program, please send your company's matching gift application form along with your contribution.
